Erin Stroup, MS, OTR/L, CEES, an occupational therapist at Pardee Rehab and Wellness Center, recently obtained the Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist (CEES) certification through the Matheson System.
“Erin’s ergonomic certification allows our department to offer proven results to local companies on reduction of injuries and thus savings on worker’s compensation. Which in turn leads to higher employee satisfaction and longevity in the workplace,” said Tim Auwarter, director of rehab services at Pardee. “Erin’s skills and expertise have already been extremely helpful within Pardee, as she has provided input of proper chairs and workstations to help reduce stress and strain on our associates.”
Pardee Rehab and Wellness Center has extended these services provided by Stroup to employees in Henderson County through the Industrial Rehab Program. The program provides local business with in-depth ergonomic evaluations and education on injury prevention through one-on-one and group sessions.
Local physicians are encouraged to refer individuals who have been injured on the job or who are at risk of re-injury due to job demands for an ergonomic evaluation. If you have any questions regarding these services, please contact Erin Stroup, at (828) 698-6774.
