We are excited to announce the new service areas which include a full service grill, offering fresh, hot and cold dishes including sandwich specials as well as additional healthy options. There is also a special cook-to-order international menu selection offered on a regular basis. The Orchards Cafe has a pleasant, modern atmosphere is now available to our community.

Friday, September 30th, 2011The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Pardee will hold a ribbon cutting and open house on Monday, Oct.10 at 5 p.m. on the second floor of Pardee Hospital in their new center.
“Our expanded space, along with hyperbaric oxygen chamber capability, affords this community with a state of the art facility for the treatment of non-healing wounds. The physical plant, coupled with the dedicated staff and the knowledge base of Diversified Clinical Services is unparalleled,” said Charles Albers, MD, FACS, Medical Director of the Wound Center.
The center is a partnership between Pardee Hospital and Diversified Clinical Services, the leading national provider of wound care services with an 88 percent healing rate within 31 median days-to-heal and extremely high patient satisfaction rates.
Wound Center receives HBO Chambers
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Pardee received two new Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers (HBO) yesterday. The whole department is working very hard preparing for the opening of their new center. They had visitors in from another Diversified Clinical Services Wound Healing Center in Shelby, NC helping them set up and sharing knowledge with the group. They are hopeful to have the center open and be seeing patients the beginning part of September.

Comprehensive Wound Healing Center
Wednesday, July 6th, 2011In preparation for the opening of the new Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Pardee, Richard Zollinger, M.D., visited to work one-on-one with Michael Jones, M.D. and Charles Albers, M.D.
Dr. Zollinger, a nationally renowned wound care physician and educator, maintains an active wound care practice at the Wound Care Center of Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte where he also acts as Medical Director. He is board-certified in Hyperbaric Medicine and Undersea Medicine, as well as Thoracic Surgery and General Surgery. With 33 years of experience, Dr. Zollinger travels the country teaching problem wound management and hyperbaric medicine. He recently presented at UNC Hospitals’ Wound Symposium Southeast, with Desmond Bell D.P.M., founder of the Save a Leg Save a Life Foundation.
“I believe the community will come to recognize the superb gem they have in the Wound Care Center at Pardee,” said Dr. Zollinger. He continued, “Pardee has outstanding and compassionate doctors, nurses and leadership from top to bottom. A great new service for your city and the surrounding area.”
The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Pardee looks forward to the installation of two new Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers (HBO) in the beginning of August. “The addition of HBO means many patients will experience high healing rates faster,” said Dr. Albers, Medical Director of the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Pardee. “We are excited to offer this needed service to our community.”
The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Pardee is dedicated to serving patients with chronic or non-healing wounds of all types. Pardee’s highly specialized team includes individuals who are nationally certified in wound and ostomy care. When specialists are involved in treatment, wounds heal faster and more completely with less likelihood of returning.

Pardee Hospital Foundation Hosts Re-dedication for Orthopedic Center of Excellence
Friday, June 17th, 2011Pardee Hospital Foundation held a re-dedication ceremony for the Orthopedic Center of Excellence on June 9. This comes after a renovation of the center that began in February of 2010. The re-dedication is a testament to Pardee’s dedication to the orthopedics program as it continues to grow and remains an important service for Henderson County and surrounding communities.
The re-dedication ceremony included speakers; Pardee Interim CEO, Jerry Maier, Edward G. Lily, III, M.D., and Amal Das, M.D. discussing the growth, renovation and future of the center. Pardee Hospital Foundation committed to fully fund the renovation. Pardee Hospital Auxiliary was recognized as the lead donor in this $700,000 project. Other special gifts were provided by First Citizens, TD Bank, Hendersonville Orthopaedics Associates, Chester Phillips, James H. Cummings Foundation and the Cannon Foundation.

Thursday, February 10th, 2011The cafeteria renovations continue and below are a few photos of where the renovation process is currently. Most of the electrical work and plumbing is complete and the new floors are being installed next week. The cafeteria is on schedule to open tentatively mid-March. Stay tuned for more details.
The temporary cafeteria will remain open until the new cafeteria is complete. Also, the Garden Cafe is available for dining Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
