“There’s nothing wrong with being selective when choosing a doctor.” – Dr. Robert Kiskaddon, CMO

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Pardee Hospital chief medical officer, Dr. Robert Kiskaddon, explains the helpfulness that Pardee’s wellness phone line 1-866-790-WELL (9355) offers its patients in selecting a doctor. See below an expert from the article found in the Times-News on Tuesday, July 20:

“In some respects, people need to develop an attitude of demystifying the medical profession and realize they’re going to a clinician who is a consultant to their health,” said Dr. Robert Kiskaddon, chief medical officer of Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville. “You’re a consumer who has criteria for what you want to purchase in the marketplace.”

Pardee Hospital offers a wellness phone line where potential patients can share their preferences for a doctor’s gender, certification and specialty. Patients usually receive the names of three doctors they might feel comfortable with.

Kiskaddon said there’s nothing wrong with being selective when choosing a doctor.

“It doesn’t benefit the physician or the patient when one is uncomfortable,” Kiskaddon said.

Pardee Urgent Care receives Words of Thanks

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Pardee Urgent Care received the following “Words of Thanks” in the Times News on Thursday, July 15.  Thank you, Claudia, for your wonderful praise of Pardee Urgent Care and congratulations to the staff for a job well done.

Dear Community: I would like to use this platform to publicly thank Pardee Urgent Care for their excellent service and the care they provided my mother a couple of weeks ago. Mom is visiting us from Chile, she doesn’t speak any English, and though I had to translate, everyone made special effort to make her feel comfortable and ease her pain.

We were there for about three hours by the time we were done with x-rays and all the tests. Chuck Bryant was very thorough, so nice and polite. The nurse that did her x-rays was super sweet too. Thanks to everyone for all you did for us that day. Your job is greatly appreciated.     Claudia J. Dalton - Hendersonville
